What comes back is usually shaped by ad spend, SEO, bots, and the preferences of strangers as opposed to an honest, candid answer from people you trust. What you actually wanted was this:

Ask people you trust what they loved. Nobody has to reveal their specific picks, and yet you'll get a real answer from people you trust. This is a url4. Instead of fetching a webpage, it runs a query across sources you choose. The sources stay private, and only the answer comes back.

Why this matters

The public internet is a tiny fraction of the world's data, and most of it was written for human eyeballs, not machine reasoning. A url4 lets AI query sources that would never publish their data as a public, listed webpage — because individual contributions are never exposed. Only aggregate answers leave the system, empowering AI systems with attribution-based control.

Url4s depend on novel infrastructure (enclaves, soft gates, hard gates, differential privacy, etc.) but they also build on what already exists (unlisted URLs, API key auth, existing cloud services, etc.).
